Application for membership

Soroptimists are leaders in their community and believe in making the world a better place for women and girls. In addition to the volunteer work, our members are involved in club projects. Non-monetary rewards such as friendship, personal fulfillment and mutual support are perks of membership.

We currently have approximately 40 committed and fun members. Many of our members have been in the club for decades and this past year, we recruited six new ones. We attract women from all backgrounds, ages, professions and experiences.

Although we would like for members to attend all meetings and club activities, we recognize the personal and career responsibilities of our members and therefore, have a "no guilt" attendance policy.

MEETINGS

We have two meetings a month, a business and a program meeting. The business meeting is held the first Friday of the month (except July and August) from 12:10 to 1:10 pm at the Shadowridge Country Club in Vista. Our Program meetings are held on the third Friday of the month, also at the Shadowridge Country Club. Please check our Calendar page or the monthly newsletter, Soroptiline, for details. Guests are welcome at all program meetings and fund raising events.

HOW DO I JOIN?

Most prospective members come to one or two meetings to assess if the club is a good fit for them. To join or for more information, you can email our Membership chair at soroptimistinternationalvista@gmail.com

SPONSORSHIP

You or your organization can participate in the Soroptimist mission by becoming a Distinguished Soroptimist Sponsor. This annual sponsorship will entitle you to participate in club activities as a Distinguished Soroptimist Sponsor. You will be included on our email list to receive our monthly newsletter and invitations to our club events. Your name and title will be included in our award winning newsletter as a Distinguished Soroptimist Sponsor (DSS). For an application, click here.
