People for Sale
Every year, people are tricked or forced into a life no one would choose - sold into prostitution and the sex trade, locked up in sweatshops, and made to work for little or no pay.
They are victims of Human Trafficking
There are many groups that help victims of human trafficking.
What We Do
Soroptimist International seeks to raise awareness and educate the global and local communities about the horrible crimes of human trafficking.
Soroptimist International of Vista carries out this mission in many ways. We facilitate quarterly meetings inviting all interested individuals and representatives of local organizations such as Vista Community Clinic, Center for Community Solutions (Escondido), Vista Unified School District, Victim Advocates from the DA's office, Faith Based Out Reach Coordinators, and MANY more.
